<title>Every CEO I&#039;ve worked with knows their EBITDA number.

But most learn what it actually means far too late.

They treat it like a scorecard.
It&#039;s not. It&#039;s a lens. And a narrow one.

Here are 7 EBITDA truths most CEOs learn too late:

1&#xfe0f;&#x20e3; EBITDA Is Not Cash Flow
↳ You can have strong EBITDA and still run out of cash. I&#039;ve seen it happen repeatedly.

2&#xfe0f;&#x20e3; Depreciation Reflects Real Reinvestment
↳ Your equipment still ages. Your technology still becomes obsolete. That cost is real.

3&#xfe0f;&#x20e3; Interest and Taxes Don&#039;t Disappear
↳ You still owe lenders. You still owe the government. Ignoring them is dangerous.

4&#xfe0f;&#x20e3; EBITDA Ignores Working Capital
↳ Cash trapped in receivables and inventory is invisible in this metric.

5&#xfe0f;&#x20e3; &quot;Adjusted&quot; Usually Means &quot;Inflated&quot;
↳ One-time expenses that happen every year aren&#039;t one-time. Look at what&#039;s really left.

6&#xfe0f;&#x20e3; EBITDA Inflates Debt Capacity
↳ A higher EBITDA gets you more debt. But more debt without real cash flow is a trap.

7&#xfe0f;&#x20e3; It Was Built for Bankers, Not Operators
↳ It was created for maximizing leverage, never meant to run a business.

The reality is, EBITDA is useful when you understand its limitations.

Great CEOs don&#039;t dismiss it.
They contextualize it with cash flow, working capital, and return on invested capital.

If your strategy is built on EBITDA alone,
you&#039;re optimizing for a number that doesn&#039;t pay your bills.</title>

				<title>That&#039;s Not My Job!

This is a story about four people named: Everybody, Somebody, Anybody and Nobody. There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it. Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it. Somebody got angry about that, because it was Everybody&#039;s job. Everybody thought Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn&#039;t do it. It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.</title>

<title>10 Things People Learn Too Late In Life

1. The less you say, the more your words will matter.
2. Don&#039;t take everything personally. Not everyone thinks about you as much as you do.
3. When you focus on problems, you&#039;ll have more problems. When you focus on possibilities, you will have more opportunities.
4. No matter how much it hurts now, someday you will look back and realize your struggle changed your life for the better.
5. You meet people for a reason. Either you need them to change your life, or you&#039;re the one that will change theirs.
6. Never be afraid to try something new. Life gets boring when you stay within the limits of what you already know.
7. You will never truly know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory.
8. Once you begin to take note of the things you are grateful for, you begin to lose sight of the things you lack.
9. Life is a mirror and will reflect back to the thinker what he thinks into it.
10. The only person you have to face in the morning is yourself. Be unbeatable.</title>

<title>If you lack discipline, read this

1. Boys turn into men when they understand that nobody cares about them if they can&#039;t provide any value.

2. Act like you can&#039;t afford the bread until they find out you own the bakery. Stay humble.

3. If you find somebody smarter than you, work with them. Don&#039;t compete with them.

4. Becoming the best version of yourself comes with a lot of goodbyes.

5. The quickest way to succeed is to start now and figure it out as you go. You can&#039;t learn to drive in a parked car.

6. Call me crazy but I believe I can have everything in this life that I want.

7. Nobody wants to tell you why discipline is so important. Discipline is the strongest form of self love.

8. Just because someone is &quot;family&quot; doesn&#039;t mean you have to tolerate lies, chaos, drama, manipulation and disrespect.

9. Mention someone that is very hard working and you wish them nothing but success.</title>

				<title>Uncommon advice

If you don&#039;t know what to pursue in life right now, pursue yourself.

Pursue becoming the healthiest, happiest, most healed, most present, most confident version of yourself.

Then the right path will reveal itself.</title>

				<title>15 Truths for Life
1. Fear doesn&#039;t stop death; it stops life.
2. If it costs you your peace, it&#039;s too expensive.
3. People only see the decisions you made, not the choices you had.
4. Never take criticism from someone you wouldn&#039;t take advice from.
5. The magic you are looking for is in the work you&#039;re avoiding.
6. Ships are safe in the harbor, but that&#039;s not what they&#039;re built for.
7. Ambition without action turns into anxiety.
8. To live a life most people don&#039;t, you must be willing to do what most people won&#039;t.
9. You can do anything, but not everything - focus.
10. If you want to make the wrong decision, ask everyone.
11. Those who don&#039;t move won&#039;t notice their chains.
12. It&#039;s okay to live a life most people don&#039;t understand.
13. If someone could only see your actions and not hear your words, what would they say your priorities are?
14. You can&#039;t have a new reality with an old mentality.
15. No risk, no story.</title>

<title>While ALIGNMT is focused on corporate finance as our primary value add to companies contemplating financial management, investor relations and mergers &#038; acquisitions, I cannot emphasize enough the importance of culture when building value. Toxic culture will destroy value, while resilient culture with happy and productive employees can withstand crises and even strengthen by overcoming problems.

For this reason, I&#039;d like to present 10 &quot;Stay Interview&quot; questions to ask before it&#039;s too late.

1) What do you look forward to every day? Start on a positive note. Identify and encourage more of what they enjoy.

2) What makes you feel valued? Everyone needs to feel valued, but different people prefer to be recognized in different ways.

3) What&#039;s most meaningful in your role? Allocating at least 20% of work time to meaningful activities reduces burnout by as much as 50%.

4) What would you like to change? Identify areas where changes could increase job satisfaction or make work more fulfilling.

5) How is your work-life balance right now? Identify stressors and explore ways to improve well-being.

6) What challenges are you facing? Identify obstacles and resolve them to boost productivity and growth.

7) What would you like to learn? Understand their development goals and align them with growth opportunities.

8) What inspires you to stay here when things get tough? Uncover deeper motivations to strengthen retention.

9) What would make you leave this job for another? Ask to uncover potential retention risks and proactively address them.

10) How can I better support you? Provide the resources, guidance and support for your team to thrive.</title>
